ABOUT US

KIWI CONTROL SYSTEMS LTD
COMPANY OVERVIEW

Kiwi Control Systems Ltd was founded as Kiwi Electrical Services Limited in 1980. During the early 1980's we provided electrical engineering, manufacturing and installation services to the New Zealand Dairy Group as they carried out major automation installations in new and existing dairy factories throughout the Waikato region.

A CHANGED FOCUS

From the early to mid 1990's our focus changed toward specialised re-automation projects where complex centralised plant operator control panels were replaced with computer terminals and second generation PLC's. Due to a huge increase in engineering and manufacturing requirements we upsized and relocated to a new purpose built workshop/office complex. We also placed greater emphasis on instrumentation installations as analogue indication and control became more common in factory automation.

FURTHER CHANGES

The late 1990's have seen further changes as factory automation moves toward field bus, fibre optic and device net control systems. We were involved in pioneering work with Anchor Products and have completed a number of medium to large projects utilising some of these control systems. We also recognise the significant impact they will have on the food industry, particularly with reduced costs and shorter installation times and are therefore putting greater emphasis on training to keep pace with the latest available technologies. In the new millennium we have moved with the emphasis of complete remote I/O Control cabinets featuring combined digital, analogue and pneumatics.

A NEW NAME

The company name was changed to Kiwi Control Systems Ltd in 1994 as it is more indicative of the type of services that we specialise in with particular emphasis placed in providing complete system solutions.

With our extensive experience and in house training we are able to offer highly skilled services in all areas of industrial electrical and instrumentation contracting. So for all your electrical engineering needs, contact us today.
